Pastor Diana is planning some vacation time. In her absence, we are pleased to welcome Reverend Dr. Gary W. Metcalf as our guest preacher.
You may know Gary. He is a former Grace pastor.
If you don’t know Gary, you may recognize him. He is frequently in worship with his wife, Jane, who is a member of Grace.
It will be a pleasure to have Reverend Metcalf back in our pulpit.
P.S. We tried everything possible under the sun to get Gary to give us a current photo to share with you. He just laughed!

Work of our Hands
May 7th
The Grace Knitters have been knitting for the children at next year’s Christmas Candyland at the Footbridge on Historic Commercial Street.
They have completed 85 hat/scarf/gloves sets and several assorted pieces. Way to go ladies and gentlemen!
They will be taking a well-deserved break. Their last knitting get-together will be Saturday, May 19 at 10:00 a.m.

“Mother’s Apron” Mother/Daughter Banquet

Tickets are now on sale for the Mother/Daughter Banquet. Wednesday, May 9 is the last day to purchase. See any United Methodist Women member. You may also call the church office. Tickets are $8 for adults; children 6 years and under are $4.
Held on Saturday, May 13 at 6:00 pm, the banquet is open to all women. You must not have a daughter or a mother in order to attend.
A New Pictorial Directory is Coming!

All who participate will receive a complimentary 8″ x 10″ portrait, regardless of whether you purchase additional photos. This offer is open to family and friends, even if they do not want to appear in the Grace directory. Each additional household photographed benefits Grace.
If you reserve consecutive appointment times, you can have different photos. For instance, you might wish to group the children, different family members or friends for their own portraits. Also pets are welcome!
Photo dates are: June 21 & 22 from 2:30 to 9 pm; and June 23 from 10 am to 5 pm.
